Canyoning in the heart of the Pyrenees.
During the season you can practice and get trained in Rafting, but for the more adventurous during the spring (admist the snowmelt) is when the rapids and toboganes are really flowing which makes the experience become a spectacular one.
Canyoning in the heart of the Pyrenees.
This sport, which consists in going down the flow of the river (ravine or canyon of the river) combining swimming with technique and climbing to surpass the natural obstacles along the route can be practiced in the Val d’Aran. The Bausen canyon, a beautiful canyon with abundant vegetation, is a ideal for an introduction to the sport.
Climbing in the Pyrenees.
In sport climbing the participants are not looking to reach the peak, but rather to surpass a series of steps from easy to difficult on a more or less vertical wall. To do so they use their hands and feet as their only tools and will use the rope only as a means of security. One of the characteristics of the Val d’Aran is that 30% of its territory is above 2000 meters and although a good part of the mountains are principally alpine forests, there are good vertical walls to practice climbing.
